Khutbah Jumuah – 14th June 2013

All Praise is due to Allah, We praise Him, and we seek help from Him. We ask forgiveness from Him. We repent to Him, and we seek refuge with Him from our own evils, and our own bad deeds. Anyone who is guided by Allah, he is indeed guided; and anyone who has been left astray, will find no one to guide him. I bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah, the Only One without any partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is His servant, and His messenger.

Brothers in Islam, Remember Allah with much remembrance, and glorify Him morning and evening. Be among those remember Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) at every state and every time.

Remembering Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) fills the heart with pleasure, happiness and tranquility, Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) says in Quran:

“Those who have believed and whose hearts are tranquil by the remembrance of Allah. Indeed, by the remembrance of Allah hearts feel tranquility.”

Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) remembers those who remember Him. He (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) said:

“Therefore remember Me (by praying, glorifying). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for My countless Favors on you) and never be ungrateful to Me”

And Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) said in Hadith Qudsy:

“I am as My servant thinks of Me. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in a gathering, I make mention of him in a better gathering than his” Narrated by Al Bukhary.

Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“The Al-Mufarridún have preceded. They said: “Who are AlMufarridún?”  He said: “(They are) those men and women who make mention of Allah a lot.”

Also the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was once asked:

“Who will be the happiest to qualify for your Shfaa (intercession) in the judgment day? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied:

The happiest person shall qualify my Shfa in the judgment day, he who says: La iláha illalldh with pure faith (that means from his heart and he knows the meaning of it).

Brothers in Islam, we should remember to constantly say: La illaha illaalláh, and keep mention of it throughout our life. Prior to we are prevented from saying it. In this regard the Messenger of Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) said:

“Keep saying the testimony of La illaha illaalláh before you are prevented from saying it (for example: before the time of death, sick or other reasons).”

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said:

“He who says ‘Glorified and Praised be Allah” a hundred times in one day, he will be forgiven all of his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.”

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said:

“Two words are light for the tongue but heavy in the scale and are dear to Allah Ar-Rahman:  سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Ten times after Fajr Prayer and ten times after Aser “اللهم صلي على محمدHe who says

He shall obtain my Shifaa (intercession) in the Hereafter.

This is a promise from Rasul Allah and he will fulfill his promise

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said:

Are any of you capable of gaining a thousand good deeds every day?” Upon this one of the attendants asked: “How can one of us gain a thousand good deeds?” He said: “If one glorifies Allah a hundred times (saying Subhan Allah), then one thousand good deeds will be registered for him.”

I say this and ask Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) the Great and the Most Honored for forgiveness for me, you and all believers for every sin.

Brothers in Islam, Fear Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) and increase your good deeds, you will thereby increase your gains and benefits in the Hereafter. Remember Allah much and constantly in your hearts and make mention of Him with your tongues. Let the remembrance of Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) settle in your hearts and while standing, sitting, or lying down on your side.

Everything around you reminds you of His Might, Greatness, and Perfect Attributes. Moreover, everything stands in proof of His Oneness, Greatness and Power. The impact of His Mercy and Wisdom is clear and manifest in every aspect of the universe.

Mention Allah with your tongues by saying La illaha illaalláh, Subhan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar. Furthermore, every good thing you say for the sake of Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) is a part of the remembrance of Allah.

Enjoining the Good and Forbidding the Evil ((الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر shall be deemed as part of the remembrance of Allah.

Obeying Allah’s commandments, and abstaining from committing the prohibitions. Is part of the remembrance of Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala).

Every action you do or you do not do in compliance to Allah’s commandments shall be deemed as part of the remembrance of Allah.

Keep remembering Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) and do not be among those whose hearts were made heedless of the remembrance of Allah and who follow their own desires.

Make mention of Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) frequently before the time of death is due, because then you will never be able to do so. Remember Allah before you become incapable of it for some other reason, or as punishment for being heedless.

Do not let any of life’s matters and businesses take you away from the remembrance of Allah. Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) said:

O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that – then those are the losers.

And Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) said:

Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah. Those are in manifest error.

We pray to Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala): do not place us with those people and make us from
